Even though you might think that your clients need written explanations about a product, this is not entirely true. The power of video content is huge! Statistics show that 74% of people who watch a well-made video are more inclined to buy the product. Let's see how creating videos can improve your business promotion and how easy you can learn to do good-quality videos!

VIDEOS AND THE POWER OF PERSUASION

Fact! The biggest percent of today's way of communication is visual. That means video conferences, video calls, telepresence, sales letters, video sharing, video presentations, video ads.

People are more easily convinced to buy a product that they see. This is called the power of visualizing and we all know it!

Many entrepreneurs feel uncomfortable or afraid of making videos. They think that the videos do not explain the product's features as clear as long form written content does. Sorry to tell you, but this is just not true at all. Many words do not mean that they are enough to convince the buyer to try the product, not to mention to buy it!

Through videos, instead, the impact can be stronger even if the video lasts only 3 minutes. It is not about the number of words but the power of the story.

There are many examples of people who were impressed by someone's story so that they have started to create their own story.

I will just give you a short example of a motivational speaker who decided to follow this path as he attended a conference of a monk.

Jay Shetty found his purpose as he was a student. Being convinced by his friend, they went to a conference, and Jay was so captivated by the speech of the monk so he decided that he wants to go on this path too.

Years later, he is now a popular vlogger, purpose coach, and author. He was inspired by someone's story so now he is living inspiring other people too. The actions are in most cases lauder than words.

KEEP YOUR CLIENTS FOCUSED

As you can read in my previous article "The impact of social media'' , people love stories and a good one will promote your business better than any long-detailed written content. Do not focus on how much information you give regarding your business but the way you talk about it. Come up with a great and interesting story for your product and this will convince people that it deserves a try!

Another good reason to start creating videos is the fact that people do not like to get out of their comfort zone. This is true, isn't it? We do not find enough time to read content or we just find it easier to watch a video. And guess who else loves videos? Google does! It is shown that your website has 53 times more chances to be ranked higher on Google if it does contain videos.

Plus, just think about a new visitor on your site. An entertaining introducing video on the first page will give him a better impression than a long written explanation about your business. Time costs money, right? And the power of video content will definitely cost you less time and money.

CREATING VIDEOS - FIRST STEPS

Now you clearly have enough reasons to start creating videos for your business. But you might still be afraid to take the action. I got you covered! Yes, videos can look complicated and difficult to create. But here are some simple, yet important things you need to consider when creating a good video. Let's get through them!

  1. Before turning your camera on, make sure you find the right content for your product. Having a boring video will make your clients close it in the first seconds. The beginning of any video is important and it has an impact on how your viewers will react to it.

Strive to make your video interesting and build curiosity. Try thinking of something unique and relatable for your target audience's needs. Anything that has huge potential to create an impact and spark people's curiosity is a good!

  1. Now that you have found an interesting story to tell, it is time to choose the right background for your video. Any detail plays a huge role in your final video, so make sure you have good light, the right colors, and a clear focus.
  2. To have a professional video, make sure that your camera is a good one and the sounds have clarity. Things such as a blurry view or bad sound will definitely bring a bad image for your business and you might cause disappointment from the customer's perspective
  3. Film in small sequences. In this way, you make sure every detail is well-made. In the end, it will be easier to simply unite all the parts than to cut the bad ones and to start filming again. The editing part involves many hours, depending on the size of the video. If you are just in the beginning, some editing tutorials might be helpful. For example, on vimeo.com you can have access to collaborations, templates idea, or any other piece of advice for a good video. For a professional promote though it is essential to contact a specialist.

Including videos for the promotion will definitely bring you more clients and higher revenue. Videos are faster to watch, they usually express more than the written content does and the clients have the possibility to clearly see the benefits of your products in order to image them on their mind.
